Pierre Marc Champagne

Pierre Marc Champagne received his law degree from the Université de Sherbrooke and was called to the Quebec Bar in 2003. After starting his career in private practice, working first in insurance law and then in banking law, he joined the Legislative Services Branch at the Department of Justice in 2007. Then, in 2009, he joined the Treasury Board Secretariat’s Legal Services as senior counsel.

He has represented the Government of Canada in over 100 labour- and employment-law disputes before the Federal Public Sector Labour Relations and Employment Board, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. He has also taught labour law at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, for nearly 10 years. He is the proud father of two wonderful teenagers, a daughter and a son.
